Seven of the best walks in Aberdeen
Emilija Morrison: Business Development Assistant
Scotland’s granite city, Aberdeen, is a place filled with exciting walks for all the family. We’ve collated a list of some of our favourite walks in and around the city – read below to hear about them!

1. Duthie Park
Duthie Park is the largest park in the city. There is a wide range of wonderful things to do within this park – there is a play area, a boating pond and a bandstand. You can even visit the cafe here.

2. Hazlehead Park
One cannot get bored here as there is so much to see and do. There are two golf courses, a mini zoo, two formal gardens, a playground and a café, among other things. If you'd like to do something a little more chill, bring a book and spend a lazy afternoon reading in the park.

3. Johnston Gardens
A small garden located within the suburbs of Aberdeen, this is a fine place to visit for a tranquil walk. Whilst you can visit at any time of year, we'd recommend going in spring or autumn if you want to catch the best colours. As it is incredibly picturesque, it is also a popular place for wedding photographs.

4. Victoria Park
With a giant checkers board that one can play, this park is definitely worth a visit. If playing a boardgame isn't your thing, then we'd recommend just to take a chill stroll through the park, or simply relax on a bench and watch the world go by.

5. The beach
Aberdeen is lucky that it has a beach in such close proximity to the city centre. It means that after a day spent shopping within the centre, one can head over to the beach afterwards. Not just a beach, the area also hosts cafes, restaurants, a cinema and a fitness gym.

6. University campus
Boasting stunning architecture, a trip to Aberdeen isn’t complete without a visit to the university campus. Stroll along here and enjoy the cool student vibe. We'd also recommend visiting the university library, one of the most incredible libraries we've ever seen.

7. A walking tour of Aberdeen
On this 1.5 hour you’ll meander down alleys and under bridges to uncover some of the city’s most beautiful pieces of art that are taking over the walls by storm.
