Five of the best cafes in Liverpool

Updated: May 12

Emilija Morrison: Business Development Assistant

We’ve loved blogging on Liverpool recently, covering our favourite things to do in the city, our favourite walks and our favourite restaurants. Today, we’re delving into our favourite cafes the city has to offer. Scroll on to learn more!

1. Leaf Café

“Where there’s tea, there’s hope…”

The slogan to the café does fill us with hope – hope that upon entering the café your problems seemingly just melt away. And teas with enticing names such as sweet blueberry, secret garden and baked apple do seem like solutions to any worries you have.

Moreover, the café hosts a range of events such as a quiz night, a DJ in the tea shop and an anti-dating app social night for singles.

2. Love Thy Neighbour

If you are a keen Instagram user, this is the type of café you need to visit. So many of the delicacies on offer would look great on the feed. With appetising and unusual treats to choose from, you'll not be able to resist anything on the menu. In particular we think that the Pineapple Carpaccio sounds delicious - we suggest you try it!

3. Freida Mo's

Vintage fashion and a bakery/cafe? Sign me up! You can scroll through all the unique second-hand pieces here and later on enjoy a hot drink and a home-baked cake. The staff here are all very friendly, too, which definitely adds to the atmosphere.

4. FIKA

In Swedish, "Fika" means coffee break. The cafe serves a range of Scandi-themed treats, even serving Swedish meatballs. It also has a notice board outside the cafe, giving inspirational quotes to passers-by every day. Oh and did we mention this one seems to be popular with the locals?!

5. Potts Coffee

Of course we had to mention a vegan cafe on this list. This was apparently Liverpool's first fully vegan cafe in the city centre. It is very popular, particularly for vegan pancakes. There is a long list of toppings including soy yoghurt, almond flakes and spinach.
