Good introduction to Aberdeen

We were shown round by an Aberdonian who knew his city and clearly loved it. The walk took in the old and the new as well as some unfathomable planning decisions! It was just the right length and has made us want to come back and visit the various museums as well as Old Aberdeen. The guide had an interesting anecdote or memory at each stop as well as a few words in Doric to liven things up. I would recommend these tours as a great way to get to know Aberdeen and I’m only sorry we didn’t get to spend longer there.

Highly recommended, interesting mix of street art & history

Only a small group of five people on the tour, with a tour guide who was entertaining and very informative, able to answer everyone’s questions. The tour took 90 minutes, a nice mix, for us anyway, of history of the city and some street art installations that you wouldn’t necessarily notice. Absolutely flew by. I’d recommend it.

Really enjoyable tour

We had a wonderful guide - her tour was fun and informative with great humour and facts. The 1.5 hours absolutely flew by and I had a great time. Aberdeen is an interesting but unusual city and it was nice to have a local guide to highlight its great points.

An interesting walk through history

Highly informative, with some interesting side stories to make it amusing, too!! I really enjoyed the combination of history with the wall art. I honestly hardly noticed the 90 mins go past - in fact, I was a bit disappointed when it came to an end!! Definitely the best bits for me were the Green and walking up Shipmakers Row. A well-spent 90 mins, when I only had limited time to spend.
